It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board. Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using a Black Lion Salvage Kit. Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it. The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources. Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear.
